| A 56 year-old woman had developed a brain tumor. When asked her to talk about the tumor, a very characteristic pattern appeared. It exactly matched her grandfather on her mother's side. The woman was notably cold and un-emotional; all her feelings deeply repressed. As soon as the grandfather re-patterning was switched on, she felt she couldn't breathe and went into a panic, squeezing her wrists and complaining of severe pain in wrists and ankles. Within seconds she had the memory which her mind had held submerged all her life: as a little girl her grandfather had led her off into the forest to meet with some strange adults, she was stripped, tied down (painfully, by her wrists and ankles) and abused. He was on heavy anti-rejection medication and still threatening to reject his liver. The patient eas asked to talk about himself and then his liver. Surprise, the liver wasn't him! It had an entirely different pattern from that of talking about self. So -re-patterning the liver from an unknown donor produced all kinds of emotional changes, leading eventually to reconciliation. The outcome was that his plasma proteins within a week began to assume a normal range. His liver was working! The medication was discontinued and he did not reject his new liver. As of January 2005 he has been off his anti-rejection medicine for 9 months. *** A 50-year old man had enjoyed the amazing benefits of voicemapping. But one day, hearing his wife order an air ticket for his step-daughter, he freaked out (frugality). Fortunately, he was able once more to sit "in the chair" and see what this experience brought out. The grandfather, when he died, was found to have stashed $1,000s under the mattress! Suddenly, it all made sense. Now the patient enjoyed looking at a menu and choosing what it was he really wanted. He loves his wife (and granddaughter) more than ever and does not begrudge them spending. *** A
